The efforts of the girl to keep her grandmother happy were lovely and poignant. As a grandmother takes intendance of her granddaughter with affection, in this story the granddaughter fabricated her efforts to babysit her grandmother. I believe that this book would be appealing to young children also as, grandparents. The illustrations portray accurate environments such as visiting a park, acting out the role of shoe seller, and decorating food at the dinner table. The illustrations are not exquisite, simply are plenty to deliver the cute relationship between the grandmother and the granddaughter. I wonder what would happen if the protagonist of the story were a boy.

Not all kids in my class will have grandparents to connect with, so I would accept to continue that in mind if I read the volume aloud in grade.
